My new twins. K22 Combat Masterpiece and M18

An updated pic. I picked up the black grip panels in a bag full of various S&W and Ruger grips. Got the whole bag for $40.00. There was another set of checkered Magnas, and a set of S&W factory target grips, along with a couple of sets of Ruger Blackhawk grips.
Sometimes it pays to scour the old LGSs! 20231029_203102.jpg

My K22:

I have carried it all over creation, and it has earned its scars. It also has taught dozens of people - including my two boys - how to shoot, and still gives me a lesson whenever I need one. I can scarcely imagine a better friend.

Great stocks on your M-18, 38 Special....where'd you get them? Ahrends?

Just for grins: saw a M-18 in almost as new condition over at Cabelas here in Louisville. No box, no papers, and an asking price of $1250 IIRC. Mine, in similar condition through GB three years ago was $425 + shipping.....they're great guns, superb understudies for center fire K & L frame Smiths, but the prices have gone clear out of sight. Good eye, @Rodfac. I'm almost sure they are Ahrends. (I'm so far out of the loop that I went to the Ahrends site for verification and thus learned they've been closed for years.)

<edit> They're also new to the gun, of course. The originals had gotten so ratty that my most recent student - a 20something lady - didn't actually want to touch them. The Ahrends, if that is what they are, just happened to be on top of the pile, so that is why they are on the gun. 😅 )
