I bought the 220 Sport Stock a couple years ago. It is my first .45. I agonized for a few months over the 220 or one of those much heralded 1911 whiz bang guns. I had the 226 Sport Stock in 9mm already. The 220 Sort Stock is not anywhere near the same gun, but is a very nice 220 Stainless with LPA fiber optic sights and extended controls. I shot it a bunch. Couldn't get over the 1911 itch. Bought the SA Black Stainless, S&W1911PD Commander, Ed Brown Executive Target and Les Baer PII. Family involved in estate planning and I've had a good couple years with the kids through schooling.

The Sig feels chunky. Same issue as with the 226 in another post. I got the slim grips and took it to the range today. The grips are slim! Probably slimmer than the Ed Brown. My problem is that I just don't like shooting it as much. I put about 200 rounds through it and all the time I'm thinking I'd rather be shooting the 1911. I actually thought I was wasting ammo. I'm sure this one is going on the auction block.

People have different sized hands. That's why there are so many different pistols, and aftermarket grips.
For best results, you have to find what fits YOU the best!
