DPMS stripped lower local for about the same as online...:what: I love my dealer... she's the greatest... (yes... "she")

So, what do y'all think?? :scrutiny:

Happy 4th y'all!!!

I'll give you the response my FFL and the staff of his store (a hardware store, not a gun store) give me when I have lowers transferred in (four in the past year):

"That's a gun? Really?"

So what are you going to do with it? M4gery? A4gery? .22LR? BOHICA .50BMG upper? Retro build? Pink Rifle? SPR? SBR? 88 Magnum?

I'm not 100% sure just yet... whatever it turns into, will definitely be a flat top carbine type zombie picker-offer... :D

Check out the really COOL "F SERIAL #"

Congrats! I'm about to order my first stripped lower as well. Exciting, isn't it? :D

If you don't mind me asking, what did it run you? I'm still looking at the various options, and price ranges. If you'd prefer not to mention the cost, I understand. :)

For the record, I'm now upset. I was planning to add another mosin to my collection but for a few bucks more I could have one of them thar hunks of metal.

Took delivery of a NIB DPMS Sportical today:D Scope is mounted, dry firing now:D

Nise rifle evenflow and my dpms lower has served me well.Good luck with your lower

I didn't buy a firearm per se, but I sent in the paperwork and a check for another tax stamp (NFA). Does that count?

Bought a new bolt action .22 last weekend for my son to shoot targets with sub-sonic rounds, a new shotgun this week for sass, and there is a gun show here tomorrow, so we'll see what gun(s) rounds out the week.

Wow... THis thread got a little busy over the past 24 hours... :)

I had already bought a rifle earlier this week... but this came along and I just could not pass on it... :thumb

I'm still in the contemplation stage as to what exactly I'm gonna do with it...

I definitely need some direction on lower parts kits - preferably good affordable links... ;)

Thanks and Happy 4th!!!

No one else added to their arsenals this past week??? Wow.. I'd have figured that with the Supreme Court ruling last week, that there would have been a little more "Buy a firearm Week" activity here on The High Road...

LPK arrived today...

DPMS Lower parts kit installed. I really didin't think it would be this easy. I really only had trouble with the trigger guard pin... the darned thing just didn't seem to wanna go... 15 lb sledge does wonders... huh??? :D:rolleyes::what:

Buffer in place...

Into the belly of the beast...

I realize, that I should keep my day job and not try to pursue a carreer in photographing guns... but hey, I tried... :neener:

I think you are responsible for infecting a few people with this bug...Things are trying to follow me home now as well, LOL. Its looking nice and can't wait to see the "beast" finished.

I'm going to be honest... after watching the little video on how to install the LPK... I was kinda leary about doing it myself. Seeing the guy put a few nicks and whatnot on the one in the video. Well, I just took my time, and followed the instructions... and was really careful about it... I did do some things a little different... I used a thick wash cloth in place of taping the side for the bolt catch roll pin... it afforded a bit more "padded" protection to the finish. Also, taping the pin punch was something I did to help protect from those accidental "slips".

I still need to get the buttstock tool... but, there's no REAL rush for that, I think I can borrow one from a local 'smith...

I think I am leaning toward the DelTon Mid length A2 upper as my first... with any kind of luck, I just may be able to put my order in next week... :)

I did my part by buying a (used) Bulgarian SLR-95. Now to figure out if I can replace that @#$%^! thumbhole stock.

Cheers,
Richard

Here's mine - the wife let me go to the local shop, and let me pick out a Bushmaster XM15-ES2 :what:- with the condition that *she* gets to pick out the next three guns we purchase. Luckily she's got her eye on some 1911's! :D

The others in the (admittedly crappy) photo are from top left to right - Charter Arms .357 Magnum Pug, Beretta U22 NEOS - so fun to shoot! S&W Sigma 9mm, Springfield Armory XD45 Tactical (absolutely LOVE this pistol):D

The Bushmaster is on the bottom. I'm just curious as to what she's going to choose as her (our) next three weapons!

one of these day's i'm gonna buy a lower and build my first AR.... i'm going retro with mine...

only fitting one of my favorite toy guns when i was a kid was a plastic M16 (which BTW didn't have an orange tip and was black plastic... my other favorite toy gun was a realistic looking all metal 1911 cap gun)
