It’s a well known fact (to people that know me) that I’ve fallen away from the AR platform ever since I picked up my first SiG-556 nearly 5 years ago.

I can't really explain why but I've decided to see if I couldn’t make an AR more loveable again.
I started with a PWA carbine I’ve had for a number of years. I added a Osprey Defense piston kit which I've put about 900 rounds through and not having any carrier tilt problems, at least nothing showing in the receiver extension. The self-cleaning piston system only added about 3oz in weight and I decided this was good.
Wanting a better trigger I went with the RRA 2-stage, smooth and light, this was good … but it still rattled like an AR, mostly the collapsable stock.
I went with Magpul … I’ve already got a few of their other stocks and have been very happy with them so I decided on the UBR. Its quite a bit heavier than I expected, must be around 2 pounds. I’m hoping it will light the flame as I’m getting tired of spending money on this (now) 8.5 pound pig … maybe slim her down with an SBR? Damb these Barbie guns!

She started out as a KISS gun ... I seem to be straying from that but not too much!

I REALLY like the look and form of that UBR stock, I never liked the collapsible AR stock as far as shooting goes, that looks about ideal.

That is one of the few A2's I have seen with a handle mounted RD sight that I wouldn't mind owning

How far away is your cheek from the stock?

And people rag on others for using see thru mounts on a lever action. :D

Is there a question?

Its OK if you are just showing-off your rifle.
Not showing off with in thread ... this is showing off ... http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=6418988#post6418988

This thread is more of an invitation to anyone else that has gone through the same thing.

Cheek weld is perfect for the irons (see through mount) and right about the middle of the jaw line for the red-dot.

RETRO

try the aged koolaid you'll like it, although I must warn you it's very strong and quite addictive stuff
Nice retro!
I've been buying guns for near 35 years, I've got some old school too!
