Hello folks I been searching for the right CCW since i got my permit 4yrs ago, and as you guys all know i change/trade guns more than some other people change their pants :D , so finally I saw this new Colt Defender yesterday and as soon as i held it in my hands i just know its the ONE, I told the guys put my name on it and i will be back today so anyway here it is and man I was very impress on how nice it feels when i was shooting it, and for those people who say Colt is not accurate out of the box well you guys be the judge, shots taken from 7yds to 10yds becs this is infact a save your bacon kinda pistol..

I bought mine on may 08. I carry it every day. I bought it because I have a Series 80 that I love but its too heavy to carry it every day. Now I just use it for the range.
 
I love my Defender. I'm scary accurate with it. Hit a 12" target from 75 yards away.
 
Excellent choice!!

Thousands of rounds through my Colt Defender and not a single hiccup. IMO the only short barreled 1911 (beside the Colt New Agent [basically the same gun anyway, without the sights]) that functions reliably and consistently. But for carry, ditch the sticky rubber grips and get a nice set of slim wood grips. Enjoy!!
