my small but modest smith collection

My S&W collection is smaller:

Gave away my Model 13 & M36 to a son, and my M34 to a grandson. Also sold a Model 10 (with 6" barrel) to my brother.

Excellent guns guys, I do love the arhends, smooth as butter on my mod 25, but I do agree on the mod 57 their a lil skinny on a gun with that kind of recoil, do they look good yes, or at least I think. But for a hard recoil they to me need a lil more meat on their bones, I don't shoot it a lot, so they'll be ok I guess. Can't wait to get started reloading for my mod 57, gonna be good. You folks have some really nice guns on here, I love to see the smiths. I just hope I can get all the mountain gun series, I believe I'd be ok as far a revolvers..

At some point...

... one realizes one has 'enough' Smith & Wesson revolver for 'use'. One has a small revolver for deep concealment, a K frame revolver for either concealment or open carry (hunting or hiking in my mind), and an N frame for adequate power for serious encounters with critters of various types.

Then, one realizes the Smith & Wesson Double Action revolver is simply a thing of beauty and grace. One buys another S&W; it's just like one at home already, but it's Just So Nice.

Then one notes the older sort with the pinned barrels and recessed chambers (in magnum or rimfire calibers) and decides they are indeed lovely as well.

It may be an addition, but as addictions go, it's pretty fun and much better than any number of diversions. If it's any comfort to your compulsion, I have twenty-eight. Currently.

Archie, I know exactly what you mean.
It's how I ended up with 3 M19's. They're just so nice, and they don't come around often, so I snagged them when I could!
They're mostly regulated to a little range use from time to time, I've setteled on stainless steel N frames for my working six-guns (625JM, 627PRO, 5" 629 Classic)

Archie, I wish I had all the smiths I wanted buddy, but as its stands now, I have a different handgun for all 7 days of the week. Not bragging by any stretch. I know folks that handle some of their smith with white gloves, 3-4 have collections that would rival Roy jinks's collection. But the way I see it I have all the major calibers covered in just my small smith collection, except the mod 29..
