Looking good. I was just at my LGS yesterday eyeballing the G26, G48, and the P365 XL... Like many others, I'd love to own them all, but just can't justify it. IWB and OWB holster, mags, mag holster, sights, etc... Within the last year, I invested hundreds in my current EDC from spare parts, dozens of magazines, so on and so forth. I'm trying to break myself of always wanting to switch up everytime something new, improved, and buzzing is released that makes me feel like what I already have is inferior somehow... @FFGCOLORADO we are in the same boat lol.

Plus I kind of "feel" better about EDCing a heavy duty feeling duty grade gun vs the smaller guns marketed for civilian back up and/or conceal carry. If they can add capacity to the P365 and the G48, they should be able to add even more to the G26... I'd be all over a 4" G26 with more capacity.

@GunnyUSMC I probably missed it, but what where you EDCing before the 48? Do you shoot the G48 better than your prior EDC?

They do, just use a G17, 17R magazine with a sleeve..BUT..G26 with G19 magazine same length grip as G48(and G43X)...G26 with G19 mag is essentially a short barrel G19..or a G48 is a single stack G19..or a.......... well, you get the picture..

BTW, I really like the grip width of G26(and my G17)..some don't but I do..Helps my wonky, poorly repaired, dislocated RH thumb(thanks USN docs)......

>>It’s called the Extreme Cant Paddle<<

Ok, thanks. Will give it a look-see. I've never been a fan of paddle holsters, but everything I read about this one seems to be positive.

Update....I just ordered one for my Walther PPS. Here's hoping!

I had Kee ordered two sheets of FDE kydex to make two more holsters for me.

Went out to the range today (my last official work day) and put 100 rounds through the G48. It shoots pretty good. I need to put some more rounds down range to get a better feel for it, but if I had to qualify with it today, I would have no problem. I really like the Apex trigger.

Cheers on the last day. How did it feel? How are thinking you'll spend your time now?

Congratulations on your retirement. It's gotta feel great!

Not that I'm counting down, but one year, nine months and seventeen days to go ...

Two things I have never liked about Glocks. The grip and the trigger. The 48 took care of the grip and a replacement trigger (flat face) will do the rest.
Shield arms and we the people holsters will complete a nice package.
Still like Sigs also.

Congratulations Gunny, a different life from now and on. More time with family, friends, more time with the toys, or some traveling when skies open again. A brand new life
Well deserved Sr. you made it.

Happy Retirement Gunny! Enjoy yourself to the max; you've most definitely have earned it!

Congrats Gunny. You picked a perfect time to get out of the game.

Just keep pumping rounds through it. My transition from the Kahr was a bit bumpy too, but now, a couple of months later, all is good with the G48.

That's good to hear about the Apex trigger. I was looking at them last night and notice that they stated their Gen 5 trigger is compatible with the G44. I want to make some changes to the G44 but haven't decided how much money I want to put into it.

I bought he 48 and am gonna do mine in blue. The best part is I can 43x complete slide assembly and have 2 guns. Thanks to Gunny for mucho info in PM.

Hey @GunnyUSMC, since you went with the splash of red for your 48 I wonder if ETS makes a G48 translucent "red" aftermarket mag. I have 12 & 15 rd aftermarket mags for my G43 as backups and range mags, reliability has been 100% with all the mags I've used from ETS.

The red might look cool on your 48 if they do make an extended version for the 48, which I'm not sure if they do, if not just for range mags.

Attn. Top row of mags, note 12rd & 15rd trans. red mags.

Well, I go in tomorrow morning to sign my retirement paperwork. I’ve been burning sick and vacation time since May. My official retirement date will be December 30th.
My G48 has been great so far.
I try to make it to the Indoor range every Monday. They let all LEO and Military, active and retired , shoot for free.

Congrats on retirement! You’ll love your 48.

My G48 has been trouble free for me, it’s a sweet EDC, slim, excellent capacity with the SA15’s. I don’t know if I’ll every switch carry guns. This is the carry gun I’ve been waiting for, the G19 was it before but the slimness while maintaining the same capacity is a definite game changer.

I personally like having the barrel length and sight radius of the G48 over the 43x, the added velocity is welcomed for a defensive pistol.

It’s size lends itself well to shoot a lot at the range, handles very similar to a G19, but carries much easier with the slimness. And the SA15’s have been flawless as well.

Those Shield Arms are a game-changer for the G48. My hands struggle with Glock 17 and 19's (too wide for my stubby fingers), but the G43 fits very well. A slightly larger G43, with the capacity of a G19, sounds too good to be true.

Since you're going to have lots of free time now (congratulations!) I hope we'll get an AAR after you put some rounds through them.

I’ve been shooting about one to two hundred rounds a month through it. I really enjoy shooting it.
