Thought I would post what I've done to my Stoeger 2000. I hardly ever see anyone mention these for HD or even as an option for a tactical shotgun. I bought this about 6 months ago with the intention of using it for some informal 3-gun competitions at my club. I hadn't planned on really doing anything to it, but we all know how that goes :neener:

First off, because of NY laws, I couldn't have a pistol grip stock with the mag extension. So, the pistol grip stock had to go and I found someone willing to do a straight trade on a regular stock.

Next was the Nordic +2 mag extension. This is a great piece of hardware and the fit and finish is really nice.

Since I despise the plastic shell holders, I decided to go with the 3GunGear 7 shell holder. These come in 2 peices, one side sticks on to the receiver and the other side holds the shells. They are held together by a heavy-duty velcro. At first I wasn't a big fan of it because the shells were almost impossible to get out of the holder. But, once they stretched out a bit, I am a huge fan. The cool thing about these, is you can buy more of the side that holds the shells and easily swap them out in a matter of seconds.

And last was the Benelli M1 bolt handle. I wasn't even sure it was going to fit, but it did. Its really bulky, almost to the point of looking ridiculous, but its certainly is functional.

That just about covers it. The gun has been 100% reliable since everything was done to it. It really is a great shotgun and considering I have only about $550 into it, its a bargain.

It has about 350 rds through it. Has 10rds of buckshot, 20rds of 3" waterfowl loads and the rest is low brass target loads that I use for trap.

Looks Good. How is the recoil on that thing?

It reminds me of a Beretta 1201 I had a while back. I ended up getting rid of it because it beat the snot out of me when running lots of rounds through it.

Really nice gun. A limbsaver would definately be a worthwhile accessory if you are concerned about recoil, I have a 26in and they aren't the softest shooting guns, especially with the heavy loads. However, they do make up for recoil by being quite light.
