I've been teaching my wife how to shoot handguns and she intends to get her license to carry once she is more comfortable. I asked her if she would be interested in learning to shoot rifles and shotguns. I mentioned taking her to a shooting school for a 4-5 day class. Her only concern was finding a rifle that isn't too heavy. After some discussion, she's decided that his and hers AR-15 might be nice. :)

My wife and i just finished a rifle class, one day, but she is more willing to go shooting with me and I think after a couple of more trips she will want her own rifle. She fired my AR at class but I don't know if she'll want her own. I can only hope.

life mate

scurtis_34471: Sir; you won. Got a life mate and a shooting partner all in one.

Be thankful and grateful. :)

Now the DOWN SIDE:confused: get a night job to pay for both of your habits:p:p:p

Watch it! It gets expensive -- and she might want all purchases in her name if she expects to live longer. (That's one downside to having a younger wife. But if you ae nice, she might let you shoot them).

Due to concerns about the upcoming election, we are tentatively planing to pick up 2 AR-15. I'm leaning toward the S&W M&P 15 due to the price, favorable reviews, S&W warranty/service and $100 rebate. I'm also looking at a pair of Mossberg 500 Cruisers with Knoxx Spec-Ops comp stocks. If possible, I'd like to toss in a Yugo M70 underfolder and maybe a nice conventional AK from Lancaster or Vector arms. Wrapping up the shopping list will be another 30 round Saiga magazine for my Vepr, at least a dozen 30-round AR mags, at least a dozen 30-round AK mags, a few more 12-round mags for my XD-40, a couple more 12-round mags for the wife's M&P 9c, a couple more 14 round mags for the CZ PO-1 and maybe some 13-round mags for the XD-45C I want to buy next year. Everything else I want to buy is not immediately threatened by HR1022 style restrictions and can wait (Walther PPS, XD-45C, XD-40SC, a nice .308 bolt-action rifle, a lever-action carbine, etc).

My uneducated and unsupported by any evidence guess -- is that anything that has removeable magazine that holds over 5 rounds will be targeted (yes I revieved the 1022 and did not see much about handguns yet -- but I am not trusting what I am seeing -- I look at the make up of the legislative body and the upcoming presidential candidates). I am also expecting 20%-30% ammo price hikes, and much smaller but still noticeable hikes in reloading supplies.
