N frame 6 inch

Can anyone recommend a holster for an N frame 41 mag 6 inch? Looking at options for on the hip either for at the range or handgun hunting. Also would consider recommendations for a chest holster.

Carrying a 6-inch N-frame on the belt is heavy and awkward especially if you want to sit down. When I am hunting with one of my N-frames I like a chest rig.

I'll have to check I probably have an Elmer Keith model 120 style holster made up for a six inch N frame if you are interested in that style. When I was doing shows I always kept a bunch of those made up for various models as they were good sellers.

I carried my 629 in a Bianchi Cyclone 111 and it worked very well for me. It can be used strong side or crossdraw. I always carried mine crossdraw.

Take a look at the Hunter 1100 Series or Bandoleer.

A bit pricey (but what isn't these days?), but you really ought to look at El Paso's full flap model. Really well made, and if you're going to expose a revolver to the elements in the field, ya can't beat a full flap for max protection.

As has already been said, a chest holster is the best option in my opinion. There is a good selection of options out there.
