I have a NAA 22 Mag 1 5/8 barrel Bug. Had it for years. I just bought the Hogue rubber slip on grip to replace the Birds Head standard wood grip. NAA has made some big honker rubber grips but I thought those defeated the purpose of this being a little tiny bug.

These are pretty neat, just a tad bigger than the wood but they wrap around and give a nice firm grip.

It needs a range trip but it's been rainy for weeks in TX - what's going on - we usually have droughts!!

Rain keeps people away from the range?

I agree with you about the oversized grips from NAA. They feel really good in the hand, but I think they really erase most of the advantages of the micro gun. Still, different strokes for different folks and I'm willing to bet plenty of people love 'em.

I haven't tried the Hogue grips, but I love the fit and feel of the bird's head style rubber grips from NAA. The bird's head ones don't change the size at all, but do provide an anti-slip cushion for the little beasts.

My favorite grips for the NAA mini are the white perlite ones. As soon as I saw what they looked like on mine, I just fell in love with them. Of course as soon as the gun had been personalized like that, I realized it was female and I had to name her. Her name is Minnie Pearl. ;)

those are such nifty revolvers- but, is there a official website for them? googling hasn't revealed anything.

also, are these just kind of a back-up gun to the in-the-hip-holster main CCW gun? just wondering, since they are a small caliber, and too short a barrel for plinking.

North American Arms' website is www.naaminis.com

In my opinion (yours may vary!), I don't think a single action is great for defense, and I don't think a .22 caliber -- magnum or not -- is sufficient for a defense gun even as a back up.

That Said (TM), they're wonderful, well-made little guns, I like mine a lot, and I enjoy taking it out to the range for a shooting challenge. And I believe plenty of people will disagree with me as to whether they're appropriate defense guns.

They are the perfect back up for when your 1911 is empty , j-frame is also empty Your P3AT fired then broke and you left your other back ups at home. Igot one on my B-day list. They are a well made little pistol. :D

Bottom line - the mini is way better than - zilch! :)

GEM ... any pic of these Hogue add-ons?? I am happy with mine ''as is'' but always keen to see what else might be useful. Have wondered re the NAA plastic ''folding'' thingie - someone posted a pic very recently... where the gun pivots into and out of the sorta, pocket holster dealie.

Chris, my husband has one of those for his Mini and really likes it. It does make shooting the little beastie a little easier. I don't like it much because it does add a bit of bulk, but he sure likes it.

Here's my Mini:

Do you have a photo of your new Hogue grips? I'd like to see them ... :)

P95Carry ~

Thanks.

You know, if I lived in a state where open carry was legal but concealed was not, I'd for sure get one of those belt buckles and get in the habit of wearing cowboy clothes from time to time. That belt buckle is about the fastest draw for that little gun that you can imagine.

I have the .22 Mini-Mag with the larger rubber 2-piece grips, and yes they are a little oversized, but they help shooting the gun..I may order the hogue up since they are on sale for $11.00. Fun to shoot gun and well made, mostly my summer carry in Texas...

Here's the NAA grip page, PAX

http://www.naaminis.com/grip22.html

It may not be the most powerful BUG, but it's the one I got until my ship comes in. Had it for years. I also have the NAA 22S which I bought just because.

Mine has the larger grips...

My mini mag with the 1 1/8" barrel has NAA's rubber boot grips (item GMM-M) and what a world of difference the grips made in accuracy, security, and handling. Ever try to fire off 5 quick shots with the stock grips? A little on the scary side.

However, with the larger grips, repeat shots can be made quickly, accurately and securely.

With some practice, mine will actually shoot recognizeable groups at 7 yards.

As far as stopping power, It would do the trick if stuck under a perp's chin or against the chest.

I also find that mine still just disappears in the pocket with the larger grips

Those are the same ones I have, in fact I think 22luvr directed me to them.. They do make a difference....Getting ready to buy a Newt neck holster....
