I have been considering a NAA mini-revolver and have a choice between the pug and the "target" model (black widow?)

Obviously this is a small, carry gun. I would like to shoot it some, however. Is there any estimate of how many rounds these guns could shoot (22 mag, BTW) before loosening, breaking, etc.?

Thanks!

I own a BW in 22mag. I've put several hundred rounds through mine, and it's as tight as the day I bought it. It's also my daily carry, here in Tshirt in Shorts country (S.Carolina).

I find the big rubber grips make it very easy to deal with, handling and aim wise.

I know there are fellas that have put a LOT more rounds through their NAA's thank I have. You can find them on www.naaminis.com. Look for the connection to the message board in the center of the page.

I have one of the standard 1 5/8 barreled .22 mags and it has somewhere over a thousand rounds through it and it still locks up just like it did the day I bought it, it just ain't as pretty anymore. Check their web site to verify, but I think they have a lifetime warranty.

The NAA revolvers are built VERY well. I wish I could get a full-size gun built like that, for under $1500.

Despite their diminutive size, as compared to most other rimfire revolvers, they are not rated light duty by any means. I picked up a NIB NAA Black Widow back in 1993. It has over 5,000 rounds through it these days with no issues and negligible wear. :)

I have a PUG and a Black Widow and they are both of excellent quality and very accurate. The pug is great for very deep cover and fast to employ at close range, but the Black Widow is my favorite. It feels and shoots like a real gun and is easy to conceal in a pocket holster. With the black widow I can consistantly keep all five rounds in the head of a standard B27 target at 25 yards if I take my time or draw and dump five round in the chest in 2.5 seconds at 5 yards. Great guns, get them both and be sure to get the 22LR cylinders for super cheap practice that won't strain the guns at all.
Also, avoid the adjustable sight on the Black Widow, lots of issues but the fixed sight works great and is adjustable for windage.

Someone can correct me on the accuracy of this statement but I was told that NAA split off from freedom arms. Freedom arms used to make the mini revolvers. If you know anything about Freedom arms you know their quality is "pretty good" so I would think that the quality of the NAA minis are not to bad either. I had one for about a day until my wife claimed it, but i have shot it quite a bit and I really dont ever see having any issues with it. I will probably buy another to replace the one I lost.

I had a 4" Black Widow .22WMR. Accuracy was poor and the barrel to cylinder gap must have been well over .025". It was the loudest handgun I've ever fired.

That was over 10 years ago, so I hope QC got better, but look closely before you buy.

well im convinced...
we recently got a pug (the dog not the firearm) well my mother in law has gone crazy with giving my wife pug related merchendise mugs blankets etc... so i figured for christmas id play into that joke and get an NAA pug now i dont have to worry about spending the money on a joke to find out that the gun isnt a shooter now ill be glad to get it
