Okay- so it's not a very exciting model, but this one belongs to a kid who received it from his grandmother. It belonged to his grandfather, who passed away before the grandson was born. He brought it to me for a minor repair.
This model is identical to the Savage model 620. The broken part is the flat spring which holds tension against the shell lifter (spring mounts on the right side of the receiver). I haven't been able to find a schematic and reading the list of available parts on numrich didn't help clarify which part I need.
I'm not a gunsmith so I don't have a lot of resources to look up stuff like this, so any help would be appreciated. This kid is chomping at the bits to go out and shoot this gun and I am just as eager for him.
Thanks,
Nate
