What is the bullet type? Gold Dot? HydraShock? Crap-o-La?
Many thanks

If he's giving you handloads, I wouldn't fire them. Don't fire them especially if you are not 100% sure that by "bad bullets" he meant "they look mean." They do look like Hornady or Speer.

Beats me. Gold Dots can be identified by a small "gold dot" in the bottom of the HP cavity. Hydra-shoks have a small post down there. If they're factory rounds, the headstamp will tell you the brand, and most manufacturers don't have too many lines of JHP.

If they're handloads, I'd pull the bullets and reuse the brass and bullets, and use the powder for fertilizer.

They are probably Remington JHP, but not Golden Sabers. They are sold in white boxes with green signing. R.P headstamp?

My turn, eh?

Unless you trust this guy with your life - pop the slugs out and reload them. Or have them reloaded, or re powdered, eh? If you DO trust him that far, then go ahead.. My guess is that they are 200gn. hollow pioints, Check the bottom of one if you wish. They "should" be good to go. I would shoot them, but I am nuts..:)

I use Remington 124 grain JHP and I just went and checked. They could be Remingtons, but that still hasn't been proven...

If they are someone else's reloads and he can't or won't identify them. Disassemble them and disgarde the powder and start over again...

How were they packaged? What are the headstamps? I'd not fire them most likely but maybe in one of my really strong 9x19 pistols like my Star 30M or a Ruger.

I'm giving these to a friend who reloads. He can salvage the bullets & brass. He's very, very anal about his reloading, but Iwouldn't shoot any of his, and he's smart enough not to offer any.

+1

They look like 115 or 124 grn Remington JHP bulk bullets to me. Bad angle though on the picture to be sure. I shoot a bunch of these in 357 sig and 9mm as sort of my standard bullet. Cheap and reasonably uniform.
