This link was referred to in a Legal Forum thread that was quickly shut down before I had a chance to contribute:mad:; http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/news.php?viewStory=59815

While the thread in Legal seemed to attack the gun shop owner's words and gun handling, I thought it was important to keep it alive for another purpose; everyone reading this board near Nashville should be alerting friends and fellow gun owners to "explain" to Nashville Mayor Karl Dean what it will mean for his support and reelection if he joins Bloomberg's Mayor's Coalition.

To contact Karl Dean;

Mayor's Office
100 Metro Courthouse
Nashville, TN 37201
Phone: 615-862-6000
Fax: 615-862-6040

Mayor Dean has a big smiley picture at http://www.nashville.gov/mayor/ and there's an email link there for contact as well.

Useful info on TN crime stats by county. Nashville being the second most dangerous area in TN while Knoxville, with a very high HCP issue rate, is 1/4 of Nashville.

Dean needs to understand that our own state statistics do not indicate that there's a gun problem in TN, but that he has a violent crime problem in Nashville.
