There's a new poll running at backpacker.com asking if loaded guns should be allowed in national parks. It's currently in favor, but by an extremely small percentage(under 1%). I do a lot of backpacking, so this is something i'm interested in.. would you all mind hitting the poll in favor of carrying?

Voted. our side is looking pretty darn good right now on this poll.

Should loaded guns be allowed in national parks?
Yes 240 60.3%
No 158 39.7%

Thanks frog! I'm trying to use their ridiculous statements as much as possible from now on!

Like in the Hawaii thread where the so-called "journalist" calls shotguns and rifles "so-called long guns".

phrases like so-called just show a blatant mistrust of the individual they gain their information from, and anyone reading it will read what isn't explicitly stated. It's really bad, and one of the worst ways they hammer us when doing reports. It's also one of their tactics that goes unchallenged quite frequently.

perhaps a qualifier is needed like "for defense of life/limb"

And if person is not otherwise prohibited from carrying. Would that help? I don't know why anyone would vote against unless they are afraid of hunting/poaching, but I can only speculate cuz it makes no logical sense.

Just a thought

Of course it should be allowed

I canceled this left wing rag after one year.
Totally anti-gun,use the pepper spray, bells and whistles, get yourself killed in Glacier type advice.
Good for lining an expensive parrot's cage,if that.
