Navy Arms percussion caps?

I have an opportunity to acquire a tin of Navy Arms percussion caps, supposedly #10 or 11, not quite sure. I can't find any info out about them old, new, junk, good, anything? Will it just be good to have the tin in a presentation case, or functional?
Just curious.

There were private labels for caps. I have some Dixie Gun Works caps, that are brass. They don't split and cap jam like copper ones. They may use mercury fulminate so clean nipples more thoroughly.

I have several tins left of Navy arms musket caps and they are great… I have gone through probably 5,000 of them in the last several years without any issues at all. My understanding was they were 20+ years old

Got them today. Sealed tin. What size are they?

"Made in Germany". Most likely RWS. I has some of those probably 25 years ago, IIRC they worked fine. My advice is either leave them sealed (they are somewhat collectible) or open them up and find out. I'd leave them sealed, personally.

RWS-made caps are very good, indeed, and that's who made Navy Arms-branded caps. Navy Arms also sold caps made in Brasil. I don't know who made them but they were every bit as good as thre RWS from my experience.

I’ve shot a few hundred Navy Arms branded caps back in the 60’s. I have no idea who made them, some were packaged in tins like yours and others were in plastic “tins”. I’m with you. Put them up in that Navy Arms Presentation case and keep them for the rainiest of rainy days!
