Does anyone have a source for Percussion caps for a .36 Navy Black Powder Revolver. I think #10 or #11 would work, seems they are in tight supply due to the reloading component and ammunition supply shortage.
Yeah, they've been coming and going all year. The local Brass Pro had squat today which is the first time I've seen them with NO percussion caps at all.
I am in kind of the same boat but can get em if I am willing to drive. Online ordering is most likely what I will do but hate to pay the hazmat charges. Guess I will have to order a bunch to make it worth my while.
The semi-local Gander Mtn. seems to alternate between having #10s with #11s but they usually have something coming in weekly .. if you don't mind paying their prices.
Gander mountain online has them on sale, currently out of stock but they say back in inventory soon...for whatever that's worth.
I ordered 2,000 from Cabelas at a decent price even including the hazmat fee but they are out of stock.
I changed out my nipples on my 1858 Navy to stainless which take Remington #10 perfectly or CCI #11. CCI #10 are too small and Remington #11 are too big...at least in my Pietta revolver.
