Very rarely will you see me offer a basic handgun course for general enrollment, but this one came about by special request of several of my more advanced students. It seems that many of them would like their spouses and other family members to receive handgun training from a serious instructor.
As such, though this is a basic handgun course and no prior experience is required, it will indeed have the classic Osage Combatives reality based tactical theme. Instead of simply filling the day with basic nomenclature and an overview of the safety rules (and we will cover both of those), students can plan to tackle reality based shooting scenarios before the day's end. They will also leave much more informed about the legalities of defensive firearms use as well as use of force issues and the personal decisions associated with lethal force.
In short, while the course may not be right for you, it is more than likely right for someone you know. Take this opportunity - it will be the only one this year - to ensure that those you care about receive their handgun training from a serious instructor with a strong base in the realities of defensive shooting instruction.
