NC gun rights/political organizations?

Just wondering if anyone knew of a North Carolina gun rights group. Am planning on joining NRA (I know, I've been a slacker thus far), but would like to get involved on a more local level.

Cool. Was thinking of joining at Handgunners, but was thinking DPRC might be a good choice as well, especially as I'm less than 10 minutes from there.

Anybody got any recommendations/experience with both?

DPRC or Buckhorn will cost less per year than handgunners and you get rifle ranges and clays with that. Handgunners is just 25 yd indoor pistol.

That being said, I like to shoot at Handgunners and still do on occasion. Good folks, good facility. The membership just isn't a value compared to the other two IMO.
