I'm kind of new to tac lights and lasers but I found
a laser/light combo that mounts to a universal rail
and it was under $100. It seems to do the job. the
laser points where I point the gun and the light is
bright enough for me to see pretty well in the dark.

But I noticed that there are many tac lights that
alone are over $200, not including a laser. I'm thinking
of getting another one of these NC STAR light/laser
combos but wanted to get some reviews on their
products before I get another one.

If someone can recommend a better light/laser combo
I'd love to hear about it. The truth is, I don't see a lot
of these out there to begin with. Some actually put the
laser at the bottom of the light which seems odd since
you would think they would put it closer to the bore.

Anyway, do any of you have NC STAR products on your
pistols, rifles, or shot guns? If so, do you like or dislike them.
Please post pics if you have them.

I will try to find a pic of what I have as well.

Thanks,

If NcStar is all you can afford, then go for it. Just realize you're buying lowest bidder chinese stuff.

I spend around $40 for a rail mounted laser/tac light combo, made by NC Star. The engineering is sufficient for most folks but it is not military grade. I find that I only use the laser to train trigger control (by watching the spot on the wall before and after pulling). A good place to start out to be sure if you want to make the investment.

I also have an expensive guide rod laser that I barely use, but is nearly indestructible in construction.

Anyone had any experience with their ACOG clones?
