Purchased a New England Firearms PardnerPump 12 guage a couple weeks ago and am absolutely 100% shocked!!! Forget the overpriced shotguns, go pick up a $265 Pardner Pump and you WILL NOT be dissapointed!
Ive got something like 350 rounds through already and i couldnt be more pleased.
No problems, issues, etc., just a honest, well priced, durable, awesome home defense shotgun!

Anyone else have one? What are your thoughts? Anyone out there who has had any issues with it?

I have the 12 ga. in walnut with a 28 in. barrel and a 20 ga. Compact in walnut for my wife. I bought the guns after walking into a gun store here in Grafton, VA.

I compared the NEF to a Mossberg Maverick, 870 Express,Mossberg 500, an old Remington model 31(no comparison, the Remington is in a class that few guns can compete with, even for the era in that it was made). and other brands that were there in the used racks.

I was not really interested in buying a gun at that time but they only had one of the 20 ga. compact, so..., I hopped on it.

I was skeptical at first but after shooting it, my doubts disappeared.

I went back later and bought a 12 ga. NEF PUMP and couldn't be happier. These guns will be relegated for field use shotguns and not for any "Sunday go to meeting" occasions.

Be advised that these shotguns are of Chinese origin and will evoke some, shall we say, lively debate on these forums.

Oh well.
I'm happy with mine for their intended use and will reccomend them heartily.

I got the Pardner Pump a while back. It is a hell of a shotgun for the money.

I think you could spend more and get less.

Yes, they are Chinese. Norinco makes them. They seem to make good stuff.

I just looked them up . Wow ! MSRP $226.73 for one with a walnut stock !
It's nice to see an affordable .20 gauge pump back on the market .
Since Winchester went down , the pickings got kind of slim there , especially in .20 gauge . I'll definately be checking them out .

Yeah, I had one of those $160's on a raincheck. It turns out that the store will not honor them. I can literally look and handle 3 of them, and they want me to pay full price. Now the price isn't bad, but still.

I paid 229.99 plus tax, title, and tags for both of mine.
I am surprised at just how much domestic made shotguns have gone up.:)

The NEF will no doubt probably increase in price as the demand is outstripping the supply.:scrutiny:

They are definitely nice and would still be a deal compared with whats being marketed from Remington and Mossberg.:)

I would not make that statement a few years ago but I've witness the quality wane on some of our domestic brands.:D

I got my 20ga Walnut Pardner Pump 2 yrs ago for 149.99 @ Gander Mtn of all places.. had to order it and by the time it came in the price was $159.99 but they honored my price.. It needed a lil tweak in the mag dept, but after that it's been flawless and accurrate. It's a field gun for sure.

From what I've seen and heard about the newer 870's, I would be looking for an older version as the newer ones have been suspect in quality. There are many, many used Remingtons out there and can be found very reasonable.

Ya just gotta look.;)
