I went shooting with my neighbor. I took my .303 British with a lot of reloaded ammo to sight it it as I bought a new scope.

The first round chambered and fired just fine. The second was hard to chamber and when I pulled the trigger it didn't fire. I tried to chamber another round and it would not chamber. I ejected the ctg. and looked down the bore. No daylight. I got my range rod out and felt a bore obstruction which thankfully I was able to knock out.

I wrote a note on that bag of reloads (not properly sized- DO NOT USE).

I went to another batch of reloads and I examined the first fired case and it was riddled with dimples. Unburned powder (H335) from the one that left the bullet in the chamber.

From then on out no problems. The problem rounds were from 05 when I had just started reloading and I did not resize them and that's why the bullet stuck in the chamber.

Just thought I'd pass that on. Might save someones life/eyes.

Maybe I missed something, but I'm not understanding why the "not resized" rounds didn't go bang? And how did you get the bullets to seat and then stay in the neck? And what exactly were the dimples you described?

But the good news is that you were paying attention to what was going on during the shooting session. That could have resulted in a very, very serious KB! Good job of paying attention and a good heads up for those who might take shooting and reloading with less attention to detail, both at the bench and at the range. Thanks for sharing.

That didn't make sense. The one that stuck in the barrel wouldn't have went bang & you should have seen the was a empty case that came out. You had a under charged load.
