Need a Cz 80 expert

just recieved my Cz 80 today from Sog and was giving it the once over and cleaning it...it appears to be in almost new condition, hardly any wear anywhere, but the hammer never touchs the firing pin, if you cock it and drop it they never touch, even in da mode it stops right prior to the pin..any idea's, what to look for or to repair? or am i just imagining things...it will be awhile before i can actually go to the range so just wanted to maybe nip this problem in the bud before i go

Drop a pencil, eraser end first, down the barrel, point at ceiling and let fly.

It's an old trick to check the decocker on the CZ-52. In the case of the 52, you don't want the pencil to move. In your case, movement would be desirable.
