Need some recommendations selecting a mount for a CZ452 Varmint LR (02040) and a Nikon 6400 Buckmaster 4X40mm. I have both items on order and inbound with little clue how to set them up once they arrive. A chronic elbow problem has me setting my metal detector in a corner and taking up shooting as a new hobby so this is kind of new to me. Wanted something to target shoot with, as well as taking care of the terrorist squirrels in my back yard. Figured the 22 with subsonic CB rounds would be better tolerated by the neighbors, than using my SKS.:)

Can someone advise what I would need specifically, with recommended name brands and sources for the above set up?

I believe your rifle uses 11mm dovetails. I think B square makes rings for it.
I have a 453 in 17 HMR, but it has 3/8 inch dovetails and have Burris signature rings that work great and don't need to be lapped. I don't think Burris makes signature rings for 11 mm, however. One think with the CZ's is that the limited factor for the rings you select is probably going to be bolt clearance. I had to use high rings to be able to open the bolt on mine. I have a Mueller APV scope.

Thx

Thanks for the responses. I may have jumped the gun, no pun intended. I'm told that there is a possibility that the rings will come with the CZ. If not I will certainly take a look at the BKL257.

Thanks for the tip on the CZ forum.

Check out the FAQ on this web site:

Eric Brooks is one source of dovetail-to-Weaver adapters that install without the need to drill & tap the receiver. Depending on your shooting ranges, you may want to go that route so you can use the Burris Signature rings with the pos-align inserts. Described here:

They are available from Eric Brooks and at both Midway and Natchez.

Hoganflagle, I've got the 452 Varmit in .22WMR. The BKL 257 rings work fine, as do a set of the really high Burris ones I had to get for a x50 Burris Fullfield.

Hogan;

I'll second the suggestion to go over to the CZ section of Rimfire Central. That being said, I'll also state that I've mounted my Nikon Monarch 3.3-10X 44mm A/O on my 452 using Talley rings. Yes, they do cost a bit more. Yes, I absolutely feel they are worth it.
