Need a fashion opinion

Just looking for an opinion! I'm on the edge. What do ya all think about the S&W M&P VTAC .40 cal? The gun is a good gun..I know. My question is on the color! It is supposed to be "Earth" color on the frame..and no matter what they call the slide color..it looks gold. Like...gold leaf! Does it look...kind of...feminine...( being politically correct that is)! It's different..kind of neat..but definately perculiar. Throw some opinions my way if you could!

I am usually not a fan of non-black working guns, but what puts me off at this one is the fact that it looks like a Frankengun with some of the pieces being black, while others are earthesque.
My recommendation is a complete black or parkerizing. Ze wife says to parkerize the slide black ... I am not seeing this gol leaf you are, but I am seeing some severe mismatching. 8)

That was one thought that passed through my head. I said eecchh when I saw it the first time..but it was strangely different in a good way. I just couldn't get past the gold slide. Looked a little too gawdy. As one poster stated..it has GREAT sights though. Night sights and fiber optic sights as well.

I saw one at the LGS Saturday and I'm not seeing the slide as Gold Leaf...unless you're used to looking at really cheap gold...but more of a satin sand color. It was match with an AR that had the same finish on it and matching furniture

great pull..except the horse usually pondered for a while before saying it...I didn't have to ponder at all.

I hate the OD Green and Desert Tan frames...I really think the slide is hideous.

I want either an all black gun, an all silver gun or a black frame and silver slide....nothing else...

This is a beautiful handgun. It would go perfectly with everyday khaki slacks & a Polo shirt. It screams "I am comfortable with my sexual orientation, even if others are not". A black holster to contrast this bold statement would be a splendid finishing touch. Yes, today's carrier is not tied down to the drab black pedestrian pistol of the past. We applaud this scandalizing move that states "Look at me! I am different! And I am proud of it!"


...OK really, I do like it. I own an M&P 40 Pro & would love to have this one in my safe beside it.
