I have a Ruger speed six that needs a little love and care. I dont want to send it to some one random and would much prefer to have some one give me a referral.

You might try McClelland's on Centerville Road near the Dallas/Garland border.

But the truth is, Dallas badly needs some good gunsmiths.

Not in Dallas..but if it were me, I'd send it to Teddy Jacobson, actionsbyt.com in Houston... I trust my life to his work...

And while you're shopping around, don't forget the Ruger Company. Depends what you need done, I believe they will only repair to original condition and don't do anything custom. Have a great reputation for customer service and answering questions.

Would agree re: Ted Jacobson. Also not in the D/FW area, but one of the very best pistolsmiths in the country, is Alex Hamilton dba "Ten-Ring Precision" in San Antonio.
