Hi All
I have a G42 that I would like to start carrying. Its a tad big for a pocket holster, so I am thinking of an IWB or OWB. Any recordation's?

Thanks
WB

My G42 fits exceedingly well in my Galco matrix 7x from my kahr k9.

I really like sticky/remora style holsters. They are super light weight and dont hang from a belt.

Material? Budget? Choices?.....

Do you want a simple budget holster? A Kydex? Leather? Exotic?
With the new Glock 42 .380acp you can have many choices....
Id contact the holster shop or custom maker first. Many are backed up with orders or they may have other delays.

For a simple OWB rig, Id suggest the modular Blackhawk CFC Sportster SERPA. You can convert it to different angles(standard, FBI, cross draw), wear it on different belts, use it with loops or with a added paddle. I just got a new left hand CFC Sportster for my new Shield no thumb safety 9x19mm for about $16.00. www.blackhawk.com

Other great holster brands include: Milt Sparks, Greg Kramer, Mitch Rosen, Don Hume, Tulster, Liion Defense, G Code, Safariland, Bianchi Intl, High Noon Holsters, Wright Leather Works, Alessi, Sam Andrews, Mernickle, Hodges Custom Kydex, CrossBreed, Hillman Holsters, Ted Blocker.
The Predator leather holster from Wright Leather Works is very good. I like the coffee color, ;) . Tulster is a cool new Kydex firm with many choices-styles.

Lots of good choices. Wife wanted leather, owb with snaps. We wound up going with tt gunleather snap removable pancake. Should recive anyday.

This.

The Cross Breed style also works well. The Galco ankle holster works well (for me) while driving.

Blackhawk CQC SERPA Sportster....

The Blackhawk SERPA CQC Sportster holster is a new line where the holster is made of the same polymer material as the tradional SERPA models but it does not have the security feature/lever to retain the firearm.
It's like the older grey color "sport" or range holster but with the CQC SERPA design.
I like the low cost($16.00 USD) and practical design(straight drop, cross draw, FBI cant). The new Sportsters also include the Blackhawk paddle, belt loop attachments. ;)

I wear my 42 mostly with IWB, but it will fit in a back pocket carrying position with a sticky pocket holster. The goal is to have the 42 appear like a wallet while carrying. With my jeans and khakis, this works well. Granted, I have a 36" waist, so my back pockets are a bit bigger, but you should try it. My sticky holster was ~$12 IIRC.

As for my IWB holster, I found this to be the easiest and most comfortable for the G42. I like the positive retention and reversible belt hook for left or right wear. Excellent holster for a great price.

I love my N82 holster. Carry a Beretta Nano in it all day and love it. Not sure how a Nano compares to the G42 in size.
