All need some help with a Taurus Tracker 627 Titanium model. I recently fell into a 626 TI tracker in 357 that has rough hard closes on the cylinder. Upon closer inspection the extractor star pin has worn a channel into the pre-cut channel that the pin slides on the frame to lock. Cant send pictures but its a worn a channel in the channel on a titanium frame. Now I just stoned the cylinder pin face smooth (lots of milling marks) and stoned the pin body (were rough as well), however its still tight on closing with a lot of gritty resistance. Im pretty sure the pin is MIM. Should I try to file down the pin some to relieve stress as I think the pin is longer than it really needs to be and should I try to find a lower pressure replacement spring for the extractor pin? I stoned the channel to get it as smooth as I could with the Arkansas stone but that's only helped marginally so far. Ideas? and its not going back to Taurus.
