Looking for a new .22 one-piece steel cleaning rod.
I had one I really liked (Outer's if I recall correctly), with a "conical" for lack of a better term, handle, but leant it out and never got it back.
All I can find with a web search is a Hoppes which looks O.K. but has a "T" handle, which I don't care for.
I'm sure it's a fine product, but for whatever reason, I just don't like "T" handles on my cleaning rods.
Anything out there that won't kill me on price? The Hoppes is less than $20 shipped, but I'd really rather have the "conical" handle.

A Hoppes Elite has a barrel handle similar to a screwdriver, is coated, and allows the rod to twist with the rifling. Pro Shot makes one with a smaller profile machined and ribbed handle that also swivels with the rifling and is uncoated SS. I have both and prefer the Pro Shot which I also have for centerfire rifles, centerfire pistols and rimfire pistols.

I did purchase a .177 Dewey rod that's nice enough but doesn't like to be tight patched in a .22 bore. IIRC all of them run $25-$35 ea.

I bought my uncoated stainless steel cleaning rod from Dewey. Don't know if you like the style of handle it has but for me I've used Dewey products for years and like them very much.
