Wanted to pass this on to save fellow shooters some hassle finding a stock!!!

I bought a Stevens 940A 20 GA. single barrel shotgun, (with a cut off stock)from another member here.
(I bought it for a first shotgun for my grandaughter, she wanted it for squacks/bunnies, and I wanted to use it for coon/crows.)

I couldn't find any good full sized replacement stocks, so I tried to match up some off of guns that I have.

The NEF/H&R .44 Mag Handi-rifle stock is a VERY close fit!
(It seems that shotgun and rifle stocks for the trackers/handi are all the same!)
It is a little bit larger thru the sides by the reciever, but where it attatches to the butt....it only needs about ten min. with a small sureform rasp, and then finished off with sandpaper!

Maybe this stock will fit all the gauges for the 940 series of Stevens, with some trimming??

I am now keeping my eyes out for a used black fiber/plastic stock for a handi/tracker...maybe a Choate with the holder for three shells on the side???

I might have one, and I will will check back later. Otherwise you can also try Ebay , or Numrich arms. They should not be all that expensive so trying to patch something else up to make it work might not serve you well.

If I have one it will not cost you much - it is 3:37am here and about bed time for me so I will look later today.

Was just trying to help.

I already replaced mine..... as I said, and was trying to help people to find an obsolete gun part replacement.

Thanks for the offer though!
