I have an AAC Element 2 mounted on a Ruger MK target 5.5". It's very accurate and quiet, but it's a bit bigger than I would like in certain situations.

I'm looking for something in the size range of the Walther TPH, Beretta Bobcat 21 or the Taurus PT-22.

The catch is that is has to be threaded. No matter how hard I look, I can't find any small size threaded 22 pistols. Everything with threads is gigantic.

Suggestions?

I have seen at least two different makes of threaded barrels for the Beretta Bobcat. I can't remember the other one, but this guy still has it listed in his options.

Now through hearsay, I haven't heard too many good things about that particular place over the last couple of years. But I personally bought a threaded CZ75 conversion kit from them that worked fine. At any rate, I know I've seen other makers for the Bobcat. Not sure about options for the other guns you mentioned. Is the threaded Ruger SR22 still too large for your tastes?

The PPK in 22lr comes with a factory threaded barrel, but you need an adaptor

The Walther P22 has a tensioned barrel. Replace the factory nut with an adaptor that has 1/2x28 threads. Tactical Innovations sells them. Same adaptor fits my Umarex imported 22 Cal 1911.

Jim Pixley will thread your Bobcat(if you have one) for $155. The mentioned S&W 2213 is the exact size as a Walther PPK/S, and comes with a threaded barrel. All you need is an adapter from EWK Arms Something to consider about the Bobcat, its so small that the suppressor will cover the sight picture. You will need to "aim thru" the suppressor. The S&W 2213 sights are above the suppressor. I dont think the Taurus can be threaded easily. There isnt enough barrel sticking out in front of the frame, like the Bobcat has. The Bobcat barrel is threaded for an adapter. Another recommendation... The Ruger SR22P. Makes a great host, but it is just a bit larger than the 2213. The new Walther/Umarex PPK/S comes with a threaded barrel. I know people are complaining that this REPLICA isnt what it could have been, but mine runs perfectly, is accurate, and reliable, and makes a good host. The angle of the pic of the Bobcat with the suppresser makes the Bobcat look larger than it is, When you look at the Bobcat in real life, its MUCH smaller than the suppressor(SilencerCo SS Sparrow) HTHs.

For size comparison... Ruger SR22P, Sig Mosquito, and 6" S&W 422. Suppressor is 5" long

I didn't realize the new walther was threaded. Still, it's a bit larger than I'd hoped for.

I am ok with the beretta sights being covered since I already have a suppressed guns for shooting at longer ranges. How does that guy thread your barrel? Just cut threads into the stock piece? How hard is it to find a bobcat anyway? Are they still in production?

The Bobcat is still in production. I havent seen any new ones in a while, but have seen several for sale locally, on Armslist. It appears that there is enough barrel sticking past the frame that Jim can thread it, and then attach the adapter. If you look into the adapter, you can see the adapter is threaded on the inside. So that means the barrel is threaded on the outside. I would check the auction sites. There are currently 3 on GunBroker
