I’ve relegated my spotting scope to 100 yards max. I keep a copy of the same target I shoot at on the bench and will mark my impacts on it with numbers corresponding to round (1, 2, 3, etc). Having one of the kids spot for me makes the process twice as easy.
I’ve considered a drone before but after paring down I still own 7 bicycles that make the 200 yard range limit trip easy enough. My $200 spotter has never provided consistent capability to 200 yards.
