need a spring for a project gun

That was what I was going to suggest. On the older guns, it is often just not worth trying to get original parts. Sometimes the part is so complex that the effort is necessary, especially if you have nothing to copy, but many times you can make the part while you are trying to find it in the catalogs. Heck, I have made parts in less time that it would have taken to fill out an order blank to Numrich.

That is pretty neat that y'all can do that. Glad to know that there are still some folks out there who can perform the impossible for the ungrateful.
