Due to possible work scheduling conflicts during elk rifle season, I am considering purchasing a crossbow as a season extender. (Crossbows are legal for archery season in Wyoming.) After reviewing the websites and catalogs, the best bang for the buck appears to be a Barnett Quad 400 package. Does anyone have any experience with this bow? I see from other forums that most people love the Excalibur line, but with all the gadgets and gizmos that still need to be purchased in addition to the package, it would cost almost twice as much. BTW, I excluded from consideration any package that has an electronic dot sight, because those are not legal here.
Any information, including recommendations on broadheads, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
