sorry i'm new to this, got my lee challenger coming in tomorrow and so excited. right now i'm looking for really cheap .40 sw fmj bullets 165-180gr in bulk for just plinking. i'll be getting powder locally to avoid hazmat fees. need recommendations on sites for brass and bullets. thanks.

I was able to find some range brass on amazon for like 45

I can help you out with your bullets. www.shop.rmrbullets.com Not really sure where to get brass right now for a good deal.
Being new the OP should be aware that there is a difference between FMJ and your plated bullets. Hodgdon and I believe Ram Shot have data for plated bullets now. http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp Nothing at all wrong with plated bullets, I prefer them or good cast bullets for plinking, trigga just needs to know there's a difference in load data.

For brass I recommend this website http://www.once-fired-brass.com/?refresh=true I've only had a couple orders from them but everything delivered has been very nice. My last order was 2000 pieces of 9mm brass. I received about 100 extra, 5-6 out of 2k were .380auto (if I don't catch them when I pick them up, there's almost no resistance in the sizing die and I know to "toss" them out), and maybe 2 were just bad pieces of brass. Maybe 5% of it was nickel plated brass if that matters to you, doesn't to me. It was mixed headstamp but I never noticed any "bad" brands like AMERC. All I remember is Winchester, Remington, Federal, Blazer, and WCC headstamps, but there may have been a few pieces of other brands. Definitely happy with the shipment. If you look hard enough you can find cheaper prices, but their prices are reasonable, includes shipping, and they had brass at the height of the "panic" and never raised their prices from what I saw. I'll definitely give them more business in the future.

Ive gotten brass there too and I agree. Most of the 500 9mm I bought were FC and PMC and in very fine shape. I placed another order Friday that im waiting on now.

Primary gun will be a glock 22. I remember glock recommending jacketed bullets through their polygonal barrels. Just as long as it works than its fine.

X-treme bullets has a 15% off sale on all of their copper plated bullets while their current supply lasts. I use them in 9mm and .45 acp and like them a lot. Western Powders has quite a bit of plated bullet data for Accurate and Ramshot powders online.

Copper plated bullets are acceptable in the Glocks poly rifling. No lead though.

I love free shipping. I guess Im probably paying for it in the product but man it sounds good! Especially when we're paying all these hazmat fees and such, seeing "free shipping" really cranks my tractor

Take a look at Precision Bullets. If they are not in stock, they run a new batch, and their prices include the shipping. The pics are from two targets of reloads I made using their 185 grain 40 calibers. A SOG P229 in .40 S&W, and a Dan Wesson Razorback in 10mm.

P.S. If you need .40 brass, I have a ton of it. They are separated into brass and Nickel plated. They are wet rotary tumbled, even the primer cups look like new unfired brass. They are already sized, deprimed, slightly belled for easier bullet insertion. Just prime them and reload. PM me if you want to buy some.

If you're looking for new brass there is probably no better brass currently available than Starline Brass. http://www.starlinebrass.com/

The stuff is top shelf but costs less than most others. It's also available from secondary vendors like Midway USA and others.

Right now 40 S&W brass on the Starline site is out of stock but Midways has plenty of Starling 40 S&W brass in stock.

I have been buying my bullets from www.TwoAlphaSupply.com. He has very fast shipping and reasonable prices.

It's okay to tell us you own the place. We like to hear of new suppliers. What we don't like is for people to join a forum just to talk about their products under the guise of a customer. You may very well be a customer, but the fact that you live in the same city as the supplier doesn't lend well to the claim that you have experience with their shipping times. Just be honest about why you popped in with only two posts to tell us about this company. Are you the owner or just a friend?

There is no such thing as "FREE" shipping or anything else free.

The use of USPS Priority Mail is such bargain it is almost free, but built into the price of the product.

To bad they can not ship ammo, primers or powder.:(

i went with the xtreme bullets in 180gr. bout 1k for under 100. that should get me started.

it's been over a week and still have not heard from xtreme bullets yet about any progress on the order. They had a bunch in stock at the time of order and still do but still nothing. do they usually take this long? i sent them an email regarding the status... i was hoping to load some by this weekend and go to the range for my deer rifles.

It my order a bit over a week for shipping information. I called then the other day and spoke with someone almost immediately. Everything came packed well and the bullets look good.

I placed an order at 7:56am on Tuesday and had both a receipt and order confirmation back within an hour. If you haven't even received confirmation, there a problem and you should call customer service. I even forgot to enter the 15% discount code so I called and left a message then received an email response within a couple of hours. Their service has always been great.
