What ar15 in the current colt line has the large front takedown pin?I have a large pin colt 7.62 upper that I want to mate it to.Someone mentioned the sporter line. What is the sporter line?

Come on people.I need help,I've got a nice colt 7.62 upper that needs to be played with.It would complete my 7.62 collection of sks...ak47...cz527 carbine ....rem 799...and ruger mini-30 .

There is no current Colt model with a large front pin I know of. The large pin lowers were pre ban. I think you can get a adaptor pin to mate it with a push pin Colt lower. Either at a Colt parts specialist or Brownell's. HTH

large hole upper uses the offset bushing to mate to a small hole lower.

large hole lower uses the offset pin to mate to a small hole upper.

Both are available through Brownells

Is the use of the offset bushing really work or is it just a gimmick ,would the use of it affect the accuracy or the reliability?

The offset bushing will make no difference to the accuracy of the piece. The upper receiver group with bbl is the rifle complete with sights. The lower just acts as a trigger and contains the feed and recoil mechanisms.

They work very well.
