I haven't tumbled/cleaned for awhile, and when I went to start up again, none of my brass is coming out super shiny. Has a more satin appearance.

Example load would be
2-16 oz cups of brass
1/2 tspn of soap Started off with 1 tbspn.
1/2 tspn lemishine. I'm pretty sure I tried 1/8 tspn and that load was no better.

I used to be able to get killer looking brass. Now nothing is working.

The amount of Limishine is dependent on you ph of the water, I use 1 tsp. As for soap, I never measure Wash'n Wax, I just add, 1+ tbs. If you do not use enough your pins will be dirty requiring you to wash them. I add water to the rim and I run mine for 2 hr +.

I started by using the different recipes people posted using differing amounts of wash'nwax, lemishine, dawn etc etc. Sometimes brass would look great, sometimes not. I finally tried the supplied packet of cleaning solution and was sold. I immediately bought a 32oz bottle of it for $16 on amazon.
Fill 1/2 to 2/3 with brass, add pins, fill water to upper line & add 1 tablespoon of solution. No fuss no muss. Brass is glaringly shiny.

1 Oz Frankford Arsenal liquid brass cleaning solution and 1 Oz Armor All liquid car wash. (Each measured with a shot glass)
FART tumbler / 5 lbs of pins.
Shiny, and stays shiny.

Couple oz wash and wax, be generous it's cheap, .45 APC case of citric acid( adjust citric acid for you water PH.,my water is basic High PH)

1 Oz Frankford Arsenal liquid brass cleaning solution and 1 Oz Armor All liquid car wash. (Each measured with a shot glass)
FART tumbler / 5 lbs of pins.
Shiny, and stays shiny.

What is the exact stuff you are using?

Thanks for the replies. I upped the lemishine on my last batch and it turned out well. I will continue down that route and see what happens but the Frankford stuff has my intrigued.
