Wife says I need to downsize, I agreed but I'm not willing to take it in the shorts.

First is a Spanish Mauser 7x57. I actually asked about it a while ago. It's in great shape. Shoots a pretty good group at a 100 yards. It's been sporturized and has a Leupold scope mounted on it. Only thing it's missing is the bayonett.
Has a plastic case and 103 rounds

Next is a Win model 70 .223 WSSM
Stainless bull barrell
custom laminated stock
bipod
Nikon Prostaff
soft case and 420 rounds of ammo
Brand new fired 10 times to sight in and never got to pull the trigger on a coyote.

Following is a Win model 70 .270
Custom wood stock and also comes with the syn. stock
Nikon prostaff scope
soft case sling and 266 rounds of ammo

Please give me honest and real values. No, I am not including the ammo as a freebie with the sale, it's part of the sale. With these prices I AM NOT giving it away.

You might check on peoples' gun value estimates on the milsurp sites such as 'Gunboards' and 'Surplusrifle'. They have very experienced Mauser people on there.

Another idea: the owner of a Memphis business showed me his collection of at least eight classic,
non-sporterized Mausers, 7.65, 8x57, and probably some 7x57mm. He should a fair idea of what certain types are worth, and he attends gun shows. Send me a pm and I'll respond with his business phone number.

I can't name the business here for security reasons.

After downsizing I would be -1 wife.

I'm not good at being told what to do.
They always take 1/2 at a minimum. So its easier to sell the guns and put her on a guilt trip about it.

About the guns. Sorry your selling them.

The 7X57, I have no idea.

The 223 WSSM is going to be hard to sell to anybody at any price. You may be stuck with that one for a while.

The pushfeed 270 is a $300-$400 gun at most without the scope. I might start at $400 and hope for $350. I cannot tell much about the "custom" stock in the photo, but I'd sell it with the cheap plastic stock and sell the "custom" separately.

I would also sell the scopes and ammo separately. I've taken a photo of ammo and placed it in various gun forum classifieds priced at about 75% of what it would currently sell for new and sold it fast. In most cases I got more than I actually paid because I had purchased the ammo before price increases.

I'd do the same with the scopes. Find out what the same scope is selling for new and price them at 75-80 % of that.

Selling as a package will not bring you as much money.

Nothing wrong with selling stuff you don't need or use.

If my wife said that I needed to get rid of a some of my guns, would I? Absolutely. She's never done it, I don't think she ever will, but she's wise enough that I will listen to her.

As for the rifles, the only one that I have any opinion on is the 7x57. If it's a small-ring, I'd say about $200. If it's a large ring and shoots well, maybe another $50. I can't see the bolt shroud very well, but the front sight and stock are both M43/M44 style, which would make it a large ring. That would also make it an 8x57, not 7x57, unless it has been rebarreled which is a possibility.

As for a bayonet, don't bother. The stock is too far gone to even worry about it. I've got an M44 that I inherited that was pre-bubbafied before my dad got it. I mounted a scope and fought with it for quite a few years. When I finally got frustrated and was getting ready to rebarrel it, did a redneck-recrown with a Lee case trimmer and it turned into an MOA-shooting rifle.

jmr40 is probably right on the WSSM. I haven't seen them moving much anywhere.
