I need some help deciding which to get. Right now I have a Jennings nine which I bought about 2 years ago. Last year I took it out to shot and could not hit a thing with it, not to mention that it jammed about 8 times during the course of shoting a box of ammo.

So the other day I visit a local pawn shop that sells new guns. The guns I were looking at were. A Glock 17 for $488, A Ruger 9mm(not sure which model) for $349, and A Smith and Wesson 9mm(also, dont know the model) for $399.

The guy told me that he would give me $50 bucks for the jennings just to get it off the street.

What I need to know is which would you buy and are those pretty good prices for those guns. Remmember total price is a factor (ruger and S&W are close enough I could swing the difference but the glock is $100 more than the ruger.

Any and all help is appreciated.

First of all, welcome to the High road~!:D

Of the guns you mentioned, I would choose between the G-17 and
the Ruger. I sell NIB firearms and here are our prices for comparison:

Glock 17 $489.88
Ruger P89 $349.88*

and

Smith & Wesson (SW9VE)* $299.88

*Price specific for models listed only.

thanks Ala Dan.

Hopefully I can get one soon, I,ve looked up the jennings nine online and have seen all the problems they have had. I don't know what model the ruger or S&W were I was only in the shop about 5 minutes, but I have seen good things about the Ruger and since it is cheaper I will probably go with it.

Thanks again

I had a Ruger 95D that was an excellent handgun. My only criticism would be, I found the trigger to be a little long. Very accurate, easy slide rack, easy take down, a little bulky for some (not for me) The price new on the Ruger seems OK...
