Anyone with knowledge about this shotgun...I'd greatly appreciate your insight on the value. N. R. DAVIS & SONS, NORWICH, CONNECTICUT “AJAX” GRADE DOUBLE BARREL 16 GAUGE SHOTGUN. MADE CIRCA 1919-1926. The 26” barrels have bright shiny bores however, the bluing has faded into a nice brown patina color. The rear of the top barrel rib locks into a recess in the breech face and acts as a third fastener for extra strength. The boxlock receiver shows hues of brown & blue case coloring and is stamped on the left with “N.R. Davis & Sons AJAX Davis Warner Arms Corp Norwich Conn USA”. The wood has nice crisp line checkering on the grip with a few nicks, dings and scratches but no cracks or splits that I can see. The butt wears an Red Head brand red rubber recoil pad. Thanks for your help!
