OK, I have a stainless steel rifle, and being obsessive compulsive, I really want to put a SS finish scope on it. I am looking for something in the Leupold VX-3 - Nikon Monarch - Vortex Viper price range. Now any of those scopes would do nicely, but I really want turrets AND SS. Seems like everything with turrets is 'tactical' and everything tactical is black.

Anybody know of a good midrange stainless steel finish scope with turrets adjustments?

A SS scope on a SS rifle is just too dang much SS. Get a set of black mounts and a black scope. (VX-3)

...or you can go all SS and I believe that Leupold will retro fit turrets to your SS VX-3.

The problem with SS rifles, scopes and mounts is that none are the same color. You will end up with the rifle, scope and mounts 3 different shades of silver. Plus as Able says it is just too much, and there is no advantage. The SS actually is more weather resistant on the rifle. The scope tube and most mounts are aluminum anyway. Black goes with everyhing.

Exactly, even if you use one manufacturer like Leupold, their bases, rings and scopes are different shades of silver.

Leupold custom shop should be able to set you up with what you want.

All of my rifles are stainless or camo (or combination of both) all of my scopes are black. I have had stainless scopes but they don't group any better and I don't care what others think of my fashion statements.
all stainless looks like you are trying to hard but if you have to have stainless you can cera cote or hydro dip anything.

The guy wants all stainless so why is everyone getting bent on his choice?

OP, I would contact Leupold and see if they have stainless target turrets. If they do it will make your choice a little easier.

I was in the same boat as you, and I eventually settled on a black scope. Good luck in your search.

The only option I came up with, save checking into a custom Leopold or similar, was to look into a refinishing job, like DuraCoat or something.

Or, you could contact US Optics. :D
