I need some help finding a part. I have a Rock Chucker II press my uncle gave me. The press is old but after a good cleaning and lubing it appears to be in good working order. The problem i have is the body that holds the primer tubes is bent. Ive looked on line and can find one. I can find the kit which has the piece i need plus the tubes but its $40. Im on a budget and would like to buy just the body if someone can point me in the right direction.I'll attach a pic of what im talking about. Thanks.

Call RCBS and they will send you the part free of charge. Best guarantee in the industry. You can offer to pay but they will not let you.:D Welcome to the disease we call reloading.

I prime off the press though with a hand primer (Lee brand) and never bother to use that priming setup.

Welcome to the world of reloading!

I too prime off of the press with the Lee Hand Tool.

The nice thing doing it with the hand tool is that you can do a little at a time, do it when you're relaxing.

If I were you I'd do what Frog said and contact RCBS. When you do let us know as I'd love to hear what they do.

Otherwise enjoy and be safe!

Holly crap!!!. I just called RCBS and they got me one in the mail and on the way...free of charge. Thats crazy good customer service. I dont know how old this press is but i know it was bought when i was a little kid and im 40 now. Thanks for the advise guys.

Glad to hear RCBS took great care of you. They took care of me in the past too. Have a good day.

It's really nice to hear that RCBS offers such great service.

Hornaday did something similar for my 223 dies when I was starting and it wasn't expanding. Sent out a part right away!

As long as we support these companies and folks don't abuse them, we should have our hobby for a long time (provided those that oppose us don't get in control and outlaw us).

I wish RCBS made a slide prime for their "O" presses like Redding does for the Big Boss, best on press primer in the business!

I have a 1982 Chucker and I have the primer system on it. It works okay. Another vote for a hand primer, I use a Frankford Arsenal and its a very good product.

If you remove the large bushing on top(the part the die screws into) the manufacturer date will be stamped under it. Your Chucker was made in the good ole' USA, not china like the new RCBS stuff is.

I looked under the bushing at the top and didn't see a date stamp. Actually I can't seam to find a date stamp on it anywhere. Its got RCII on one side and RCBS on the other.

It was bought as a kit and came with a spear number 10 reloading manual. Copy write 1979. I remember my uncle and dad reloading on it as a kid so my guess is it was bought in the early 80's

I'm stoked RCBS covered the part and ill post pics of what they send me.

Interesting! My 1982 model is just a "Rock Chucker", I can't recall when the RC2 came out.

My first press was/is an RCBS Jr. The date is a small two-digit number stamped on the top machined surface. '69. My mother gave it to me on my 15th birthday.... and they still have parts for it. I use this press for seating bullets exclusively.

RCBS is spot on with customer service, I broke my spent primer tray on my old Rock Chucker, and after a e-mail they sent me a new one, also after buying a used primer pocket sedge kit at a gun show, I found the small rod was bent. Another e-mail to RCBS and they sent me a new one, NO CHARGE either time !!!!!! hdbiker
