Ok, I am going to be purchasing a tubegun stock made be Gary Eliseo from www.competitionshootingstuff.com

My rear sight will be a standard A2 rear sight with a smaller WOA peep sight. My poblem is tring to fing the right front sight. Now, I know that I can just simply buy a ladder style and be good to go, however I fear that it will get knocked out of place while walking through the woods during deer season.

So I thought about just getting a standard AR-15 detachable front sight and bolt it to a rail on the handguard, but Mr. Eliseo recommended not to do this.

So my question is, is there any downside to putting a front sight on the handguard?

I know this might seem confusing, but thanks,

The whole purpose of the Tubegun is to get all the sight radus you can possibly get to increase accuracy.

Putting the front siight on the handguard decreases the sight radus to what it would have been in the first place.

Yes, if I were to mount it on a handguard, I would get a custom (longer) handguard.

Is there anyway to get a smaller profile/ sturdier front sight?

Thanks,

Hunt, I know, sounds crazy.

I've thought about buying a simple HS stock and baisc sights (like some guy posted on here with his 200 yard target.

But dadgummit, I want to be finished with this rifle and be satisfied!

I'm tired of changing stuff, I need a constant.
