I was browsing through Gunbroker a few minutes ago and came across a rifle stock that I would love to have on one of my guns. The only problem is that I don't know which model it is. I know it is an HS Precision stock just not the model.

Here's the web site:
http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=104708173

I would like to think it is the stock at the top of this page: http://www.hsprecision.com/new_varmint_stocks.htm

But it also looks like the 1st and 8th stock on this page: http://www.hsprecision.com/new_sporter_stocks.htm

It would have to fit a Remington 700 w/ varmint style contour.

Also, does the 1 stock on the 2nd website I listed have a beaver tail forend?

Thanks alot for any help!

kind of hard to tell, you could just hit the "Ask seller a question" button and ask them if they know what it is. That is what I would do if I were interested in a stock like that.

There is a chance they don't know, but I would think that somewhere on the stock would be some sort of identifying information.

Just my two cents.

Good luck finding out what it is.

I'd say it's one of their varmint stocks too. Given the heavy barrel. The seller will likely know for sure. .243 AI's are exactly an FNG's rifle.

OPPs.

Hey;
I looked at the site with the #1 and #8 as you said. Those are PSS stocks. Not sure what the first site shows.

Appears to just be a Remington (made by HSP of course) varmint model. Doesn't appear to be a PSS because the PSS typically has a 2nd stud up front that I don't see in the photo. It's symantics really though, they're virtually identical except for that.

Yes.

Hey ;
The first one on the first site looks like their Varmint model. The other ones are PSS stocks according to thier model numbers.
The PSS stock does have 2 studs and the rear of the stock just above the grip is cut down for the bolt. They are fatter in the grip area. Although some of the newer stocks are going to that now.
