Hi, I am inventorying all my army stuff after leaving the service and came across this blade that I was able to obtain while in the sand box. It is a lot like the BKT companion but it has a serrated edge. On the box there is a NSN number and I was able to use it and get the info below. It has never been used and has all the accessories (a sheath, a box, a CLP cloth with Camillus cutlery printed on, and a Camillus business card) . So My big questions are what is it? and how much does it worth? The blade’s engraving is “BKT Companion, camillus, NY, USA“. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    NSN: 1095-01-493-1798

    Name: KNIFE,COMBAT

    Part Number: BK2SG

Becker Knife & Tool made under contract by Camillus. "SG" was the serrated model.

The BK 2 Companion is now made by Ka-Bar as Ethan Becker was able to contract with them since the close of Camillus.

It is a "collectable" , and also desireable for a user.

Run a search on ebay completed sales of this model (Camillus made) to get a feel for what people are paying.

You can take a look at the Camillus forum at Bladeforums.com.

If you ask they'll tell you pretty quick and someone will purchase almost as quickly.

Since hso brought it up ;)

There is also a Becker forum at bladeforums with some hard core Becker fans.

    Camillus Beckers always draw attention.

Just do not offer it up for sale (if it is) in your post. That is a big no-no there.

Todd A is correct in advising you not to offer to sell the knife in a discussion at Bladeforums.

Ask what it's worth and anyone interested will contact you.
