I bought this some time ago and it has set in the basement. Now it's getting to be time to get it on a tripod for some (still in the future) PD hunting. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photo, the "mount" for it is two-bladed spade-like thingie.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can mount it on a tridod?

My best recommendation is a local machine shop. They could probably put something together really cheap that adapt from the blade to a tripod screw.

I can see a couple ways I could bubba a mount for that but a machine shop or someone with a drill press / welder / time on their hands could do a much better job than I.

I had the same problem when I got my Barr & Stroud, I made an adapter plate from 1/4" aluminum plate, cut it to size and drilled the holes to screw it into the rangefinder. I drilled and tapped a hole for the tripod mount. The black plate is a quick release adapter for my tripods. I have the same size QR plate on my cameras and spotting scope.
I was fortunate that I had the aluminum and the tools to make the adapter. Xytmnt has the best idea, check with a local machine shop or gunsmith.

BTW, what model is your B&S? Here's the plate on mine.
