GSD German Shepherd Dog?? as opposed to a German Shepherd what else?

For reasons that I'm unaware of 'German Shepherd Dog' is the official name of the breed. http://www.akc.org/breeds/recbreeds/breed_list.cfm

It is a wonderful breed, btw. Nice choice, minotaur.

Almost forgot, regarding the name. Give it some time, the dog will let you know eventually what you should call it.
