After an attempt to refinish the stock on an Enfield Ishapore, (it disintegrated), I decided to just install Mojo peep rear sights and a Ramline synthetic stock. I need a tractor gun, anyway, and I guess this will fit the bill.

My problem is installation of the rear stock bolt and the provided mounting plate. I just can't seem to get the plate in far enough to get the bolt through the stock to attach to the frame.

Anyone else with this unique experience?

Is the mounting plate slightly oversized compared to where it fits?

I wish I could help, but I used an ATI on my 2A1. With the barrel cut down to 16" and a FAL flash supressor on it looks quite ......err.. interesting; especially with the bayonet mounted.

Thanks for the input, TCB. That information is soooo valuable.......:scrutiny:

4thPoint, yea....that's it. The mounting plate seems oversized. I'm not sure how far I can file it down for a good fit, before I take it too far. Should I just keep going until I get the stock bolt to screw into the reciever?

How did the ATI stock fit? I might have considered ATI, but I didn't want the moulded cheekpiece.

I REALLY wish Choate would have made one for the Enfield. I love mine on my SKS.......
