Howdy,
I'm giving a presentation on how legal liability affects the design of products (lecture to be given to a group of engineering students) and one of the topics I want to cover is liability in the firearms industry. Could somebody point me toward litigation that is responsible for the increased trigger pull weight, internal locks, and other "safety" features that you can find on weapons today. Also if someone had some numbers for the factory trigger pull for a weapon today and that same make/model in years past that would be helpfull.
I'm still in the early stages of researching this so anything that might pertain to the actual design of firearms and legal liability would be helpful. Thanks guys.
